We were playing in the backyard and with almost child-like excitement, I squealed, “Look, kids! It’s a sign!”
They replied with eager curiosity. “What’s a SIGN?!!!”
A sign is something that points to a greater reality.
“Where’s the sign, Mommy?”
“Right here”, I whisper, as I point with awe.
Spring has not officially “sprung” but there are many signs pointing to this season of “breakthrough”. The season where new life replaces what was dead.
A season where vibrant color fills in places that have been dreary and dull.
A season where everyone seems to be smiling, letting out happy a sigh of relief that, yes- once again- hope is breaking through into our winter reality.
Everyday, we are seeing more and more signs of spring. Signs of new beginnings.
Signs of a greater, brighter, beauty-filled reality that is on its way. A new season that we can hope for with confidence.
“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His.
And He changes the times and the seasons.” Daniel 2:20-21
Hope is a promise worth clinging to. Breakthrough is just around the corner, friends.
“…That the eyes of your understanding may be enlightened; that you may know what is the HOPE of His calling; what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ Jesus when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him in the heavenly places…” Ephesians 1:18-20
