Silence settles the soul deep into the arms of God.

Silence is an invitation for the Spirit to breathe life in the chambers of our hearts.

Silence is a sanctuary for wounds to be healed and new life to grow.

Silence stills the chaos that stirs all around.

Silence centers the heart.

Silence opens our senses to know, see and trust the sovereignty of God.

Silence connects us to what is unchanging and unshakable in an ever-changing, very shaky world.

Tomorrow I will post some guidelines on how I have learned to sit in silence (and LOVE it), experiencing the presence of Peace Himself.

“Truly my soul silently waits for God; from Him comes my salvation.”

Psalm 62:1
