One of my deepest desires is to be known.

To be truly seen, and fully accepted. Isn’t that true for us all, on some level?

We crave being seen. I mean really seen. Really understood, known and then as we are known, to be loved in that place.  It was after mid-night on a flight home from Thailand when I was first able to verbalize this need.  Just hours before I had been sitting in brothels talking with girls my own age who were trapped in the sex trade.
