Have you ever felt “lost” when it comes to sharing your faith with others- unsure and a bit hesitant as to what to say, or when to say it, or how exactly to share Jesus in your everyday life?
You are not alone.
It’s not always easy to be winsome and yet authentic when sharing about how Jesus has touched your life. With this in mind, there is a new blog I’m so pumped to share with you- it’s called “Evangel-vision“.
I was asked to write (along with 43 other amazing Christian leaders) for this brand new blog every few months, so you’ll see me there!
Here’s how it works: every other day one of us will write a post that brings you encouragement and tools for evangelism, in all sorts of life stages and contexts.
Evangel-Vision launched this week, and I wanted YOU wonderful friends to be among the first to have a heads up, and invite you to check it out.
I anticipate it being a sweet place for us glean spiritual depth and practical inspiration as we grow in and live out our faith together.
Really hope you are all having a great week!!
Side note: School’s back in session for us tomorrow, and I’m sure it’s going to be a great year! To be honest, though, I’m sort of freaking out about making lunches everyday, and getting my kids somewhere consistently on time. I guess I’ll just try to be like The Little Engine That Could– “I think i can, I think I can, I think I can…..” I’ll let you know how it goes!!
On that topic- do you all have any great secrets for successfully launching a kid into kindergarten (esp. the packing lunch and getting everyone to school on time?) I’ve even written a schedule for us to follow in the morning that goes in ten minute increments, and if you know me, you know I’ve NEVER EVER done that before!! It’s only slightly stressing me out – can you tell? lol. I am all ears for your tips!!!!!!!
Much love!
Francie

I try to make/package as many things on the weekend as I can. Sandwiches can go in the freezer and be taken out and put in frig the night before. Chips and crackers can be put in small containers for the whole week. Then I put what I can into the lunchbox the night before and take things out of the frig in the morning for the rest. The boys put out their clothes the night before and the backpack is packed and ready.

We are more kindred than I thought…I’ll have to share my ‘first day of school story’ with you sometime. No tips other than, know you are not alone!

I agree with Sherri, pack as much as you can the night before. I bought small tupperware that I can pack fruits and snacks ahead of time and then just grab 1 of each and throw in lunch bag in the morning. My kids get to help choose what snacks they would like at the store, but when it comes time to pack lunch, they get what I give….otherwise we would go through a million change of minds! You can do it! And so what if they don’t match or don’t finish eating breakfast…they will survive and it might teach them to hurry up:-).

I am helping launch our grandson in his K. too. we r using bento boxes w/in his metal Spiderman lunchbox. working out well. do as much as u can the nite before. (when u r cleaning up after dinner.) and put in fridge. makes morning easier. Pinterrest has good ideas for children’s lunches too. those little cheeses that r wrapped like small wheels r good if he likes cheese. good luck. know u can do it! is it all day K?

We just started K down here a couple weeks ago and I found that having all his clothes ironed and ready for the week made mornings easier. We have a chore chart (I have been terrible with these in the past, but he does his routine and likes me giving him his smiley faces and it makes his morning easy!) that he does every morning, and I make the lunch the night before and leave in fridge and he can buy lunch on days he likes the menu. (Took 2 weeks before I let him buy lunch!) Best of luck! Parent pick up/drop off is the pits the first week!

Oh I love the motivation factor with the chore chart. I, too, have failed miserably with those in the past. Maybe I’ll give it another go. Thanks!!
